Christmas is Mothers

She thinks about Christmas. She decorates the tree, she puts up lights, she makes a chain, she prepares the house.

She thinks about her husband, the in-laws, her family. She shops, she wraps, she mails, she gives.

She thinks about the kids. She looks for bargains, she shops, she wraps, she hides the presents.

She thinks about the neighbors. She shops, she bakes, she bakes, she bakes! She delivers.

She thinks about the friends. She takes pictures, she finds cards, she writes, she addresses, she stamps, she mails.

She thinks about the food. She shops, she bakes, she cooks, she cleans.

She thinks about her family. She watches, she enjoys, she loves.

She thinks about Christ. She sings, she reads, she cries, she prays.

She thinks it was all worth it.

She thinks it was fun.

She thinks she'll do it again next year.
