Ruby wanted to go to Chuck E. Cheeses for her birthday this year. We had a good time. If your child didn't get invited, don't sweat it, I told her she could only bring three friends and that two of them had to be her cousins B. and A. (who she basically lived with all summer while I was at the hospital). So for her one extra friend she invited S., a darling girl that they are all friends with. They were a beautiful bunch and there was a lot of giggling!

Happy birthday! Ray's getting ready to blow out her candles here...but he didn't do it, and she did a great job.
At the Hansen Family Halloween party I let my short hair inspire my boy costume. Solomon is a fireman, Ruby was Cinderella, Ammon a ninja, Ray a Zombie. He looked realistic too didn't he?? I LOVE to dress up so this party is always fun for me. Happy Halloween everyone.

I love Halloween too. I feel like a little kid again - I still like to get dressed up. How fun. You guys look great.
I love the last picture...keep the undead away from us normal folk...cute!
Hello Shannon- I love reading your blog and I think you are a great mom. Happy to hear that Ray is now cancer free, praise the Lord! Your kids are beautiful and you are very blessed.
I have a suggestion for you and please don’t take this the wrong way (you are more than welcome to delete this comment at any time).
I noticed that your baby girl Ruby usually has very dry skin in most of the pictures you put up. Seeing as winter is right around the corner and her skin is going to get even dryer thanks to the heating systems, let me suggest getting her some body lotion. Eucerin Original works great for her skin type. I would recommend that you have her put it on after she has her evening bath, this way, the lotion can do its thing while she sleeps. I would also recommend Jergens Ultra Healing Extra Dry Skin Moisturizer, another good lotion that she can use in between. While the Jergens is thick, its not as thick as the Eucerin so it’s a lot more manageable. I will definitely stay away from the Suave products as they aren’t as good for Black African skin. You can find some coupons here http://printable-coupons.blogspot.com/2005/10/jergens-coupons.html
