Team Kitchy ran the Ragnar Relay on Saturday and finished in about 29 hours! Way to go! In case you don't already know, Kitchy is Ray's favorite little stuffed dog, and when my friend Somer heard about Ray's cancer she asked her team if they would run for Ray. They are all amazing people and agreed to do it and let him pick the team name....he is the one who named them Team Kitchy! It's been a very positive distraction for him during these hard weeks and he was really proud to have been a part of it.
Here is the team crossing the finish line together with Ammon in tow.

Some of the team members with Joe and the other kids.

Team Kitchy: Somer Schmidt, Dan Schmidt, Curtis Thompson, Christina Heinle, Dan Frey, Steve Haslam, Holly Keenan, Stacy Leavitt, Ocey Leavitt, Micci Bracken, Paul Bracken, Trudi Stilson, and Joe, Ruby, Solomon, and Ammon.

And here is Somer...the girl who started it all. She and I met when we lived in Springville and she had her first baby (Aurora) just days before Ray was born. Then we adopted and she and her husband adopted a baby as well. She is seriously an amazing friend and I love her dearly. Thank you Somer!!

And here is Ray!
(I know...it's a shock to see him with no hair...I will do the head shaving post next) He was in the hospital during the race and was so happy when they finished....he thinks they won:). which, in many ways is true. Here he is after Somer gave him her medal and the teams wrist band baton is wrapped around Kitchy! This was a huge blessing. Thank you
Team Kitchy!
