The Emmy's 2009

Joe and I had a fantastic time at the Emmy's last week. The show was really good and we saw, sat by, or talked to many many TV or film actors. Tom Hanks, Glenn Close, Heidi Klum and Seal, Justin Timberlake, Conan O'Brien, Tina Fey, Chevy Chase...just to name a few. Up close and personal they are really just very normal, very short, people trying to keep their jobs, raise families, and look good doing it. They were very cool and we had a fun time that night.

Joe sat on the front row right next to Drew Barrymore for a good portion of the show and was on TV a ton. He later sat by Justin Timberlake and Mark Walberg. I sat by Shirley Maclaine, Debra Messing, the 30 Rock cast, and the Mad Men cast. I was shown up close on TV when they introduced the Academy President sitting in the audience. I was sitting behind him and you could see me really good clapping and looking like I knew who he was!! The highlight for me was that I talked to Diane Weiss afterwards (the mom from Footloose) whom I love in the movie The Birdcage. She was so sweet and gracious.

Gordana from Project Runway...she designed the dress she is wearing and she told me she liked my dress. We saw a lot of beautiful dresses but not the best year for dresses I thought.

Joe and me at the luncheon before the show. You can't tell from this, but Joe looked so handsome in his tux. We may be TV nerds but we sure had a good time.
