What is and What isn't

This is my weekly report of What is and What isn't; where I am the judge and you scratch your head and wonder what's the point.

What is: New medicine bottle tops.

Ever use a syringe to give your kids medicine? Filling up the syringe is always a tricky and messy process...especially when your medicine bottle is nearly empty and you can't get the syringe down far enough to suck up that last important dose. Well, I recently filled a prescription at Primary Children's Hospital pharmacy and when I opened it up I saw this weird plastic lid thingy. I was irritated because I thought the pharmacist had forgotten to remove the safety lid or something and I actually tried to pry it off with a butter knife. Then it dawned on me that this was a new and improved lid for a syringe. It totally rocks and Ray and Ruby can even do it by themselves.

Here is Ray with a demonstration if you haven't seen one yet.

The bottle has a little hole in the top.
You stick the syringe in the hole.

Turn the bottle upside down and fill the syringe to the right number. Be sure to concentrate hard like Ray!

Turn right side up and remove syringe! No spills and so easy! And it gets every last drop.

The new medicine bottle top...it is.

What isn't: Laundry
Everyone who hates laundry say, "I do!!" These pictures were taken on the SAME night. I was cleaning up the house that night and could not believe the piles and piles of laundry that I had been avoiding all week. Check it out.
In the hallway...
in the laundry room...
on the rocking chair...
on my bedroom floor...
...there was even laundry in the shower!!
Go ahead and judge me! I know it's disgusting. But I really really really hate doing laundry. Some of those piles were clean and some were dirty. But anyway you look at it, laundry ISN'T!!!!

Just tonight paul and I were lamenting our very own laundry piles. Thing is, I secretly like to fold it. Wouldn't know it by looking at my piles, though!!

Good luck with your piles!

I am totally with you on the laundry thing. The piles just keep on coming. Yuck. Good thing the girls don't mind being a little wrinkly...

those pictures of Ray are way cute. He did such a good job of modeling the steps for us! and about the laundry, you already know what my house looks like, so enough said!
