While Joe was gone

I used his power tools!!! This will seem like bragging here, but honestly I am always waiting around for my husband to do projects for me around the house. But when your husband is gone a lot you really have to man up and do it yourself. It was slow going but I am really proud of myself. Here's what I did...I organized my office, craft cupboards, drawers, and files. I bought picture frames, chalk board, white board, pin board and hung them, bought a new plant, a new chair, a new toy box and assembled them all myself! At Ikea you buy the stuff in pieces in a box and you have to screw them together. It was hard work but I felt tough doing it. Here are the end results.

New chair, plant, pillows, and ottomon/toy box. There was no home delivery here...I carried those things out of the store in boxes, loaded them into my truck, and built them in my living room (they may fall apart any minute!)

New magnet boards for each kid...assembled and screwed into the wall by me!!!

New chalk board...assembled and hung by me!

The ottomon/ toy box that took me over an hour to assemble! Grrrr! Hated it. But love the final result.

I don't have pictures of my super organized office and cupboards but they are awesome. It took me three weeks, four trips to Ikea, one trip to Target, and lots of time and tons of trash. I felt pretty cool doing it, but honestly, right now I am so tired and I am writing this blog thinking how lame I am for posting this. Big deal...I bought a plant right?

But my house looks good and I am happy I did it. The end.
